As we move into a new phase in the fight against COVID-19 we want to share with you an update on how we are delivering our services.
Even though our country is currently on Alert level 1, only a few things have changed here at Pou Whakaaro. The safety and emotional well-being of our vulnerable community is our highest priority.
Our team is still working hard to support the people we partner and the community. We are observing all hygiene protocols as per the Ministry of Health guidelines, contact tracing and other protocols have been put in place.
All day programmes are still limited and we are planning for some great new ways of providing services in the future.
We know that the various lockdown levels have put pressure on everyone in our community, and that this can put our mental health and physical well-being at risk. So our team in response, have ramped up our efforts to provide practical and emotional support.
Our doors remain open, but for those who do not wish to venture out, our team are also available via phone, email, or text if anybody needs support. If you need to contact someone urgently, please phone 073088170 or email email@example.com.
If you do decide to visit any of our locations at Kea Building, 60 Onslow Steet, Kawerau, 1 Bracken Street, Whakatane or 40 Te Tahi Street, Whakatane you will notice our new government tracing app on the door, please scan this with your phone when entering. If you are unsure how to use it, please ask your support worker or one of our team members for help.
We are accepting new referrals, please make sure you have permission for our team to contact referrals. We will phone the person/whanau referred once we have permission.
