As we move into a new phase in the fight against COVID-19 we want to share with you an update on how we are delivering our services.
Even though our country has recently shifted from Alert level 4 to 3, not much has changed here at Pou Whakaaro. The safety of our vulnerable community is our highest priority and our bubble remains the same.
Our team is still working hard while operating in smaller teams by working remotely on a roster basis and at the office. We are observing all hygiene protocols as per the Ministry of Health guidelines, contact tracing and other protocols have been put in place.
All day programmes are still on hold, which give us ample planning time for some great new ways of providing services in the future.
We know that the extended lockdown has put pressure on everyone in our community, and that this can put our mental health and physical well-being at risk. So our team in response, have ramped up our efforts to provide practical support. This includes cooking and meal delivery! We are utilising our commercial kitchen at the V.Dub Cafe to cook some healthy and nutritious meals and delivering them to some of the people we partner.
